Each of us has his or her personal story…how we coped, how we came out, how we put up with bullies. The Colors of Our Lives is a chronicle in word and song of some of the people who make up the LGBT/friendly communities of our area. This joint concert between the Harrisburg Gay Men’s and Central PA Womyn’s choruses tells the personal stories of some of the members’ gay men, lesbians and feminists who stuck to it, rose above the pain and not just made it, but did so shining like a rainbow! Our stories, along with others from the LGBT community, will be presented along with music that will Comment and uplift as well as entertain to create a powerful event for our region. Modeling this concert along the lines of the “It Gets Better” phenomenon, we hope to specifically target the youth of our area and give them a message of hope and positive support.
